DERMAL FILLERS

Time for… a fresh outlook.

Filler injections can be used for a variety of purposes.

Facial reshaping; several areas can be reshaped, for example, in women the chin can be made more pointed or rounder and the cheekbones made higher and plumper, in order to give a more feminine shape. In men the jaw can be made wider and more chiselled, and the chin can be made more square. Noses can be straightened and a hump or bump can be disguised.

Wrinkles, fold and lines anywhere on the face can be reduced using fillers placed under the skin. This includes the forehead, around the eyes, nose to mouth lines, around the mouth, the chin and the jawline.

Local anaesthetic cream may also be used to reduce the discomfort caused by the fine needles used to introduce the filler.

The hands and chest area may also be improved using filler injections.

Filler results are immediate although they continue to improve for some time after treatment.

Possible complications of filler injections; the most common is bruising which may last from 10 to 14 days.

Uncommonly there may be infection, lumpiness, excessive swelling, pain, itching or very rarely skin damage. Other side effects are extremely rare but will all be discussed at your consultation.
