Controlled tissue ablation and dermal remodelling using 20 years of experience with aesthetic laser treatments—where understanding wound healing mechanisms and precise parameters determine the best regenerative outcomes.
Professor MacKenzie approaches treatments with fractional CO2 laser as controlled surgical injury—creating precise thermal damage that triggers your tissue's regenerative cascade. This isn't aesthetic resurfacing; it's deliberate activation of wound healing pathways refined over decades.
Fractional CO2 creates microscopic columns of skin damage that penetrate to precisely controlled depths—stimulating fibroblast activity, triggering new collagen and elastin production, remodelling photoaged tissue. Professor MacKenzie calibrates depth, density, spot size, overlap and energy based on tissue assessment. Parameters are determined by skin thickness, photodamage severity, healing capacity, and integration with your longevity protocols.
Treatment applications: Moderate to severe photoaging, scarring, skin texture irregularities, pigmentation, perioral lines, and comprehensive facial resurfacing.
Can be combined with TCA CROSS on the same day and other treatments at least 2 weeks before or after. Results are maximised by our medical grade skin care before and after treatment.
Professor MacKenzie's surgical training ensures complication avoidance: recognising infection risk early, managing hyperpigmentation through proper post-care, preventing scarring through understanding keloid predisposition, optimising healing through surgical wound management principles.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Comprehensive skin analysis including general health and ability to grow your own new collagen, pigmentation, lines, dullness, rough skin, scarring.
CONSULTATION
Local anaesthetic cream or dental injections can be used.
COMFORT
7 to14 days with redness, swelling, sunburnt feeling, peeling. Skin may be pink for a several weeks.
DOWNTIME
Can be seen from 2 weeks but develop to their maximum over 3-6 months.

DURATION OF RESULTS
Scar treatments last for many years. Antiageing treatments best repeated at 12-18 months.
Maintenance

Stage 1
Redness appears occasionally and is often triggered by hot drinks, spicy food, or exercise.

Stage 2
Redness becomes more consistent. Small visible blood vessels (telangiectasia) may appear.

Stage 3
Acne-like breakouts begin, without blackheads. Skin may feel sore or sensitive.

Stage 4
Skin may thicken, particularly around the nose (rhinophyma).

Stage 5
In rare cases, severe rosacea - called phymatous rosacea - can lead to the development of rhinophyma - a bulbous enlargement of the nose, most common in men. Rosacea can also be ocular when it is located on the eyelids, conjunctiva and cornea, manifesting itself as red, watery and very dry eyes.
